Role Summary

As a Business Planning& Controlling Manager at Edenred Romania, you will oversee financial planning and analysis functions while managing a team of three. Your role will involve coordinating reporting and forecasting processes, supervising the preparation of business plans, budgets, and financial reports. You will ensure financial results are accurately prepared and reported according to established standards, while also preparing internal management statements. Acting as a business partner to sales teams, you will provide essential insights to help them achieve their objectives. Additionally, you will evaluate the long-term impact of strategic initiatives and develop strategies to optimize revenues and costs by analyzing operations and identifying improvement opportunities. Monitoring budget limits and communicating day-to-day results and short-term financial strategies to stakeholders will also be key components of your role.

Impact of the Role

• The Business Planning& Controlling Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing financial performance by providing critical insights into operational drivers and strategic planning, ensuring the organization can effectively allocate resources and achieve its financial goals.
• This role will facilitate collaboration across departments, particularly with sales teams, to drive revenue optimization and cost efficiency, ultimately contributing to the overall growth and success of Edenred Romania.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate reporting & forecasting processes:

• Supervise the preparation of business & strategic plans, forecasts, budgets and reports;
• Ensure that financial results are prepared, analyzed, commented and reported according to appropriate reporting standards;
• Supervise preparation of internal management statements and statistics;
• Be a business partner of the sales teams preparing and providing relevant information allowing them to overachieve their goals;
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action;
• Develop strategies to optimize revenues and costs: analyzing organization operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction and systems enhancement.
• Monitor budget spending limits and explain the day-to-day results and the short term financial strategy to local shareholders;

Knowledge and Skills:

• You are graduated from a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar position
• Romanian & English – advanced level
• People management skills, leading by example, motivating, and bringing the people together by values, performance, and common objectives
• Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
• Experience on working on complex / multiple functions EPM (Oracle is a plus), and handling EPM implementation or system transformation / upgrades as per business/legal requirements
• Consistent, accurate, and thorough with an eye for details
• Solution based person, focused on effective and efficient ideas, improvements and issues solving ways
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Project management skills
• Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
