Please be reminded that you can give your employees one lunch voucher for each day of work, and your company and employees will enjoy substantial fiscal facilities – deductibility and relief from social taxes – within the limit of the maximum face value that is admitted by law.

The New Face Value of Lunch Vouchers is Lei 9
The new face value of lunch vouchers, valid in the first semester of 2011, was established under Order No. 952 / February 8, 2011, issued by the Minister of Labour, Family and Social Protection and published in Official Gazette No. 111 of February 8, 2011.
According to the legal provisions regarding lunch vouchers, they may be ordered and paid effective immediately at their new face value, and they will be delivered only after February 20, 2011.
Lunch vouchers are one of the most flexible and beneficial methods to increase employees' income, as they are deductible upon the calculation of the profit tax (16%) and free from social contributions payable by employees (16.5%) and by employers (at least 28%)*.
Effective July 2010, the amounts granted as lunch vouchers are subject to a tax of 16%, payable by employees **.

Edenred confirms its interest for Romania by acquiring the business of Euroticket
As a result of the transaction, Edenred increases its market share in Romania by 4.5% to 40%.
"This acquisition confirms the long term interest for Romania of Edenred and the confidence in the growth potential of this market, being in line with the Groups worldwide development strategy" declared Philippe Blecon, GM of Edenred Romania.
Following the transaction, the 3,000 Euroticket clients will now have access to the entire range of products, services and solutions offered by Edenred, as well as to the most extensive network of affiliated outlets.
"We will do all necessary efforts to make the transition process as easy as can be for Euroticket customers. We are counting on our 11 years of experience on the Romanian market and on the business proficiency of our teams" said Philippe Blecon.
The Euroticket clients will have access to a dedicated hotline where the Edenred consultants will provide all the necessary information about the process. In the same time, Edenred started to contact Euroticket customers.
The vouchers issued by Euroticket can still be used, within their validity term. From today onwards, Euroticket clients can place new vouchers orders that will be issued and delivered by Edenred Romania.

Edenred Is Launching the First Prepaid Gift Card, Exclusively Addressing Romanian Companies
After 11 years from the issue of the first prepaid service voucher branded Ticket Restaurant, Edenred Romania is launching a unique prepaid gift card which is exclusively dedicated to companies.
The name of the new Edenred product is Compliments® and it is a prepaid gift card that can be provided by companies to both their own employees, as a reward element, and to their business partners or customers, as a protocol and marketing tool.
Users of the Compliments® card will be able to pay with it for their shopping in a selected network of traders covering multiple segments of interest, ranging from stores of food products to gift shops, apparel, footwear, footwear, household appliances, and bricolage stores, drugstores, etc.

Edenred Romania: Our New Juridical Name
This change occurs in the international context of the change of the ACCOR SERVICES brand, as a result of the spin-off of the Hotels division of the Accor Group from the Prepaid Services division, which spin-off took place at the end of June 2010.
The new name of our company will appear on all the documents issued by it and to it effective October 1, 2010.
All the other identification elements of our company, namely its registered headquarters, registration number with the Trade Registry Office and Unique Identification Code will remain unchanged.
The change of our company's name in the above context will:
- NOT involve re-signing the contracts concluded by the company represented by you, to this date, with ACCOR SERVICES SRL or concluding additional acts for this purpose;
- NOT affect the validity or effect of vouchers issued under the former name, which are current at this time. The respective vouchers may continue to be used within the terms mentioned in the customer contracts, since the change of our company's juridical name does not have any effects in this respect.
